The Park is named after the late General Douglas McArthur who landed by PT Boat at the Macabalan Port on his way to Australia after escaping from Corrigidor during World War II; located in front of the Provincial Capitol. Its new name: Vicente de Lara Park, packed with age-old mahogany trees, provided a therapeutic canopy for the promenades. The park is a popular jogging area during the morning.
