At last, yesteday (13 Sep 2011), I was able to set my foot on this place that I used to read about on newspapers only. Casa de Segunda...home to Senorita Segunda Katigbak, one of Jose Rizal's crush. Her parents did not approve of Rizal and she got married to Manuel Luz, a rich Batangueno and they had many kids. This is where Guillermo Luz, Exec. Dir. of Makati Business Club and National Artist Arturo Luz came from. Tita Lilet Malabanan, her great-grand daughter was very accommodating and would love to tell us stories. Indeed, it was an enriching day to know that once upon a time, Lipa became the sole supplier of coffee in the world. Proud to be a Filipino!
